With our camper repaired, we left on July 8, heading for Three Valley Gap, near Revelstoke for an ATV GPS rally. This time our truck broke down South of Jasper and we had to backtrack to Hinton to get it fixed. We left Hinton about 5:30 PM so we didn't get all the way to Revelstoke as planned. Instead, we camped at Hoodoo Creek Campsite (no services, no fires) and then went the rest of the way on Friday. The rally was Saturday and Sunday. Instead of poker hands, They buy hands of gps co-ordinates, then They have to go find those locations. I rode a lot but I ran awful lot too, and because all the trails go up, down, or around a mountain, I really had to work. We stopped very briefly at lakes and stuff to cool off or take pictures etc. but we went pretty steady all day Saturday and until 3:00 PM Sunday. We found 11 of our 12 co-ordinates, and I think we went a couple hundred kms over the two days. The picture is me Sunday evening. While She was fixing supper, I crashed on the camper floor.

July long weekend

We had a bunch of family come for the weekend. We went quadding and down to the river where I played my very favorite game, which is fetching the ball in the river. We also had campfires at night and I impressed them with my ability to play fetch in the dark.

Back to Shining Bank Slide

While our camper was being fixed, we quadded closer to home. One day we went to the Sundance area and we saw a bear, I barked and He blew his little loud horn thing and the bear ran away. I caught a wild rabbit that day too, and I was pretty proud of myself. Another day we went to the Tom Hill area and went back up to the Shining Bank Slide. The quad was gone so the man must have found a way.
